Website Terms of Use

1. What these terms cover

These Website Terms of Use ("Website Terms") apply to your use of fixitforyou.org and any pages, forms, and content on it (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Fix It For You LLC, 51 Petersburg Road, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 ("FixItForYou," "we," "us," or "our").

By using the Site, you agree to these Website Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Website Terms are not the repair contract. They only govern the Site itself. Any repair or service work is governed by our Service Terms and by the written quote you approve before work begins. If these Website Terms conflict with an approved written quote, the quote controls for that job.

2. Using the Site

You may use the Site to learn about our services, check whether we serve your area, and submit a service request. To submit a request you must be at least 18 years old and must be the owner, tenant, or an authorized representative of the property where the work would be done.

You agree to give us accurate, current information when you submit a request and to update us if it changes. We rely on what you tell us to decide whether and how we can help.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Submit requests you do not intend to follow through on, or requests on behalf of someone who has not authorized you.
• Provide false information or impersonate another person or business.
• Upload photos or content that you do not have the right to share, that show other people without their consent, or that are unrelated to a repair request.
• Upload anything that contains malware or is designed to interfere with the Site.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Site or submit forms, other than search engines following our robots rules.
• Try to bypass security measures, access the dispatcher or administrative areas, or access data that is not yours.
• Use the Site to send spam, harass anyone, or break the law.

We may block access, remove content, or decline service to anyone who violates these rules.

4. Intellectual property

The Site and everything on it, including text, graphics, logos, page design, and software, belong to Fix It For You LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "FixItForYou" and the FixItForYou logo are our marks.

You may view and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell, or create derivative works from the Site's content without our written permission.

Your content. You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you submit. By submitting them, you give us permission to store, copy, and share them with our staff, contractors assigned to your job, and service providers, solely to evaluate and perform the requested work and to keep business records, as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not use your photos in marketing without your separate permission.

5. Estimates shown on the Site are informational

Any price, price range, or "typical cost" shown on the Site is a general estimate for informational purposes only. It is not an offer and not a quote. The actual cost of your repair depends on what we find at your property, the materials required, and the scope you approve. The only binding price is the written quote you approve before work begins. See our Service Terms for how estimates, quotes, and fees work.

6. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to websites or services run by other companies (for example, a hosted payment page, a map, or a manufacturer's site). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. A link does not mean we endorse the other site. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the Site itself, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, or that information on it is complete or accurate. General information on the Site about home repairs is not professional advice for your specific situation; conditions in your home may differ.

Nothing in this section limits any warranty or obligation stated in an approved written quote or in our Service Terms regarding work we actually perform.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fix It For You LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site itself will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

This limitation applies to the Site only. Liability for repair or service work is addressed in our Service Terms and your approved written quote. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

If your violation of these Website Terms, or content you submit, leads to a claim against us by a third party, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and damages arising from that claim, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Website Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Website Terms from time to time. The effective date and version at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
